As a highly experienced IT professional with over 15 years in the industry, I have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to offer. With a strong background in .NET, NodeJS, and serverless applications development, I have proven my abilities as a team leader, project manager, scrum master, and product designer.
Over the last 5 years, I have successfully built and led a team of 18 professionals, with expertise in design, programming, leadership, and management. I have a talent for motivating and extracting the best from each team member and have successfully brought three different projects to production with a very low level of incidents.
My main competencies include project management, tech team leadership, and UX product design. In addition, I am proficient in NodeJS, SQL, MySQL, and am an expert in most AWS services, with a focus on the serverless microservices stack.
I am a valuable asset to any organization and am always looking for new challenges and opportunities to grow and expand my skillset.
At Diaz I started as a backend developer for the client Mortgage Network, but my ability to improve the UX of a legacy system led to the opportunity to create a new project. Once this project was approved, I was promoted to team leader, and as the team grew, I eventually became an IT manager.
Since I started this project alone, I had several different roles until I was able to hire people to each specialist function.
As a Product Design and System Architect Leader, I successfully hired and built a team to create a Product and Pricing Engine for a mortgage lender. This engine used the scalability of serverless microservices on AWS to provide a lightning fast and accurate loan pricing system based on borrower and property data points, leveraged by the parallel processing power of AWS Lambda functions.
During this process, I integrated the system with several vendor APIs, using REST or SOAP. I was also responsible for getting in touch and keeping the relationship with several vendors such as credit bureaus, insurance companies, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
In parallel to this project, I also developed a Point of Sale system using Angular, with a focus on providing the best user experience possible in order to make the process of applying for a mortgage loan as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Throughout these projects, I also helped maintain a legacy (ASP.NET) Loan Origination system, ensuring that it operated with a very low rate of incidents.
At Conductor I worked as a consultant for a system migration from classic ASP and old MSSQL databases to the latest .NET and MSSQL versions.
The major part of the work consisted of database stored procedures.
At Roche I worked as a consultant in a project to make some of their systems and websites compliant with modern browsers such Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
I was responsible for testing, creating documentation, and fixing every bug I uncovered regarding browser compatibility.
Some of the legacy ASP systems were needed to be fully rewritten in .NET to ensure compliance with the modern browsers.
At Bradesco Bank I worked for 6 years across several different projects.
In 2009 I created -- from scratch -- a system to manage products such as life insurance and retirement programs. This was created using ASP.NET C# and MSSQL.
I worked for several years (2011-2014) creating websites managed by their content management system, Vignette. In this position I created 8 institutional websites on my own which integrated with their CMS. I was responsible for designing the layouts with the marketing team and managing the third-party company that created the HTML front end. I then coded the sites to make them compliant with the CMS.
In 2015, I worked with the support team fixing many bugs with the loan simulators. This included many types of bugs: back-end, front-end and database.
In the last year, I worked with the credit recovery department, creating several DTSX packages to process huge amount of data.
At W21 I worked with their CMS made with classic ASP. I was responsible for creating many pages, ensuring compliance with their CMS.
I was additionally part of the team that started migrating the CMS from ASP to .NET.

I have built a food truck, along with a friend. We sold a few tons of hamburgers. It was a very good experience to manage a business on the weekends, being responsible for everything from cooking to marketing, parking a truck, and managing social media engagement.
The food truck was a success. The logical next step was to start a restaurant. Bad idea: we closed after 6 months.
After my successful food truck experience, I started a company to produce events consisting of food trucks and music. I left the company because I had a new baby at home in the end of 2017. But the company has grown and did bigger events until the pandemic, when it closed.
